Hello.

Peju O’Shaughnessy, LPC, LMHC, CCATP, RYT

I'm Adepeju O'Shaughnessy—though most people know me simply as Peju.

I am a licensed psychotherapist with more than a decade of clinical experience helping adults navigate anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, and the quiet emotional burdens that often accompany lives of responsibility and achievement.

My work is grounded in a simple belief: healing is both an individual and a relational process. Therapy helps us understand what has shaped us. Community gives us the opportunity to experience ourselves differently– to be seen. Both are essential. Because while insight creates awareness, connection creates transformation.

This philosophy guides everything I do through Peju Therapy, my clinical practice, and GOODJUJUTHERAPY Retreats, where healing extends beyond the therapy room into meaningful community.

My journey into psychotherapy began with a deep curiosity about human resilience and the ways people heal in the presence of attuned, compassionate relationships. During my graduate training, I became increasingly drawn to understanding not only psychological distress, but the remarkable capacity people have to recover, adapt, and flourish when they feel safe enough to be fully known. That perspective continues to shape both my clinical work and my belief that community is the medicine.

I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Oklahoma and have spent my career supporting professionals, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and individuals who often appear capable on the outside while carrying significant internal pressure. My clients are frequently the people others depend on—the ones who hold everything together while quietly longing for a place where they no longer have to.

As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, I specialize in helping people understand and regulate the nervous system patterns that underlie anxiety, perfectionism, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm. My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and deeply practical, helping clients move beyond coping toward lasting emotional resilience.

My work is also informed by advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and by my background as a Registered Yoga Teacher. Together, these experiences have deepened my appreciation for the connection between mind, body, and nervous system. While insight is important, lasting change also requires experiences that help the body learn safety, regulation, and connection.

Clients often tell me they feel deeply seen in our work together. I bring a calm, thoughtful presence that balances clinical expertise with genuine warmth. I believe therapy should challenge you, support you, and help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself—not because you are broken, but because growth becomes possible when you are understood.

Whether we're working together in the therapy office through Peju Therapy or gathering in community through GOODJUJUTHERAPY Retreats, my hope is the same: that you leave feeling more connected to yourself, more grounded in your life, and more able to move through the world with clarity, courage, and intention.

Because healing isn't meant to happen alone.

Community is the medicine.

“Peju has played a crucial role in helping me overcome my mental health struggles. She has provided me with countless resources and techniques that have allowed me to recognize and work through feelings of anxiety and depression.”
